I found this old theater while doing the residency at the Center for Photography at Woodstock (http://www.cpw.org), in 2005. During that period I meet some of the members of the religious community of the Seven Tribes that currently own the space. I’ve learn about the original owner Michael Dolan and his Utopian dream to build and direct the opera house in a quite town along the Hudson. The space was once full of life, showing theater plays and vaudeville performances but its in now quiet and waiting for its revival. The magazines were found in the space during my visit and make a link to the past and document its history.
